Learning to Fly
Stories of people teaching themselves to fly single seat contraptions and never having any licence are enshrined in aviation folklore from yesteryear. Today, the low-down is that you do need a pilot certificate to operate any aircraft in New Zealand, and you do need flight instruction despite anything you may read on the internet. Fortunately this is a straight forward process and since the kiwi microlight community is blessed with some of the world's most liberal rules, there is simply no excuse for not following them. Here you can read everything you need to know about learning to fly microlight aircraft with Sport Aviation Corp.
